Dreams & Bloom

Introduce your members, what do each of you bring to the band?

We are a two-piece band, brothers David and Goran Mihaljević. Currently we’re based in Frankfurt, Germany. Both of us bring unique “tools” and a unique perspective to Dreams & Bloom. We’ve been playing music together since we were kids. That makes the overall writing and recording process natural and honest.

What are your instruments of choice and why? Which effects could you not live without?

We both play multiple instruments at times. Our primary instruments are Drums, Vocals (David) and Guitar (Goran).

It terms of effects…Any type of effect that adds character, such as saturation/distortion would be something to try. We also like space effects (Reverb, Delay etc.) Both digital and analog. We don’t necessarily have a preference.

What are the defining characteristics of Dreams & Bloom?

That would be something for people to decide for themselves. But if we had to pick one thing that makes us stand out is that we write from an honest and fragile place. Our music and lyrics talk about things that people can hopefully relate to and implement in their own lives to help them overcome any obstacles.

If you could have a DC or Marvel superhero as a member of your band, who would it be and what role would they have? Which band member would they have to fight to get the position and who would win?

LOL… Tony Stark/Iron Man! Not necessarily as a band member but perhaps a manager/stage engineer type role. With his knowledge and skills there’s many aspects that he could cover 🙂

Who are your favourite bands/artists/songwriters/musicians?

We don’t necessarily have one favorite artist or band but here are some: Metallica, Tool, Paramore, John Mayer, Incubus, Linkin Park etc.

When is your next single/album likely to be released? What is it called and where can we get it in our ears?

Our latest video is for “Little Brother”. The song is off of our debut album “Through Obstacles”. It’s by far the most personal video we released yet. People can watch it on our YouTube page!

Even though we have plans and a schedule in place for future releases, at the moment we’re focusing on spreading the word so people can hear our debut album “Through Obstacles” and get an idea what the band is about. We’re preparing lots of new music/content for the next weeks/months. Stay tuned!
