Introduce your members, what do each of you bring to the band?

Hi There. So we are two. Raphael Mtx does the percussions part and on live helps with guitar, bass and back vocals. I am, VAYA, the singer-composer.

When did you last speak to your families?

Which one :)))) Our kids are days and nights around:). And my parents came to visit this week.

What are your instrument makes/models of choice and why? Which effects could you not live without?

Personally I am really eclectic, as I include the vocals as an instrument. Any kind of instruments is an exploration, a door to the music. Concerning the effect, I don’t know, I love anything that is authentic.

What are the defining characteristics of VAYA?

Powerful, Wisdom, Authentic, Soulful.

If you could have a DC or Marvel superhero as a member of your band, who would it be and what role would they have? Which band member would they have to fight to get the position and who would win?

Unfortunately I am not a Marvel fan, I don’t know a lot about it. But Disney? :)))))) Donald Duck is funny!

What are you working on at the moment?

On the release of our second album for November, in Japan.

Who are your favourite bands/artists/songwriters/musicians?

Jim Morrison, he has everything.

Who is your favourite author, which is their best book and why?

Hard to tell. It depends of the category you chose. I will give here the name of a book that clearly awake me and gave me the first pulse for changing the direction of my path: Le Chemin le Moins Fréquenté by Scott Peck. Scott Peck is a psychiatrist that has written this book through several human stories.

When is your next single/album likely to be released? What is it called and where can we get it in our ears? Why should we buy it?

As said in November. And we are running to make things happen:) I can not say now the name of it. It will be known the 1st of November. Why should you buy it? You shouldn’t buy it. You need to feel if it shakes your soul or not: It is an once upon ago from a soul to soul.
